Alterations Made Along the Way
Editing:
During the production stages of my music video I choose to exclude mu initial plans of using a split screen due to the lack of narrative that was present within my project. However choosing to retain the colour grading aspect of my post-production planning meant that the video was still able to maintain a sense of professionalism but losing some of the conventional features that I had planned during my research.
Digi-Pak: During the initial stages of my digi-pak creation I made several changes with the layout moving around logos and excluding the use of a CD holder design due to a new discovery of 3 fold design that allows the cd to slide into a gap. This is also a far more modern and common place feature now within the production of CD's and Records.
Advert: My initial plan was to create a logo to represent the band across the advert as well however upon difficulty creating the logo to the effect that I wanted and also looking at some other bands, such as The Vaccines, I choose to include and image of the band instead and make it more like a gig style poster than previously planned and put emphasis on the general promotional band poster design. I also choose to add quotes from appropriate magazine sources such as NME and Q.

Performance 2nd Draft
Here is the edited performance section of my video separate from the narrative sections:
Evaluation Task 3 - Audience Feedback Initial and Final Screening
Initial Screening
Below I've scanned in some of the sheets that were given out to the class during our initial screening that I think include the most frequent suggestions and improvements. It gave two sections one for elements that they thought worked very effectively (Creative Commentary) and elements they think should be improved for the next screening (Creative Suggestions):
Final Screening
The sheets attached below were part of our classes final screening evaluation. Like before, we listed features of the video we thought worked particularly well and parts that didn't work quite as-well. However these sheets also took into account our digi-paks and were awarded a mark based on the criteria listed in the top left of the sheet.
After completing my final video I gathered a group of my target audience, older teenagers who would find the rebellious and realistic values of the indie bands highly appealing and who my video is primarily targeted at. I showed them my final video and asked them questions that would help me understand if I achieved in creating a video that reflected the genre and appealed to those who were fans of these type of bands.
The video below is a commentary where I talk about what I learned from the initial screening, how I applied these to my next screening and also what I would further improve if I had more time to produce my video.

Class Feedback
Using slides similar to the one above, which demonstrates the current progress of my construction, the class evaluated the consistency and overall quality of both the ancillary and music video tasks. We all went round the class and using a system of green (WWW) and pink (EBI) post-it notes listed the core success and issues with their project so far. Below is an image of the post-it notes regarding my construction task.
The main EBI's listed were mainly concerning the way the digi pak and video fitted in terms of theme and design. For example:
"Consistency between advert and digi pak is good. But how can you make the video fit this theme"
"Video is much more colourful than poster/CD style"
However the WWW's mostly spoke about the consistency of the digi pak. For example:
"Colour schemes consistent the designs look really good"
"Appeals to genre"
"Consistent black/white colour scheme/consistent font/looks really good"
